Friends of the West Bridgewater Public Library is an organization of volunteers that helps to support library programs and services. In addition to the Museum Pass Program, we sponsor a variety of programs, library services, and the Reading is Fundamental book distribution program for West Bridgewater public school students in grades one through five. We have an on-going Book Sale at which we merely ask for a suggested donation.

We are re-grouping and restructuring and planning some great new activities for the Fall! Join us every other First Thursday of the month at the WBPL at 6:30 p.m. to plan our next events! Come to our next meeting on Thursday, Nov. 2nd at 6:30 p.m.

In 2016 we sponsored the following enhancements to the library:

  • Summer Reading Program
  • All of the museum passes
  • Infant changing tables in both men’s and women’s rest rooms
  • The Ultimaker 2+ 3D printer that will be used by kids and adults starting in January
  • The Polar Express Event
  • Refreshments at the folk music concert in November, 2016
  • Many additions to our collections

Here are some of the events we are planning:

amazingraceAmazing Race: April 30 @ 1 – 3:30 p.m.

Using the new library phone app, take your team around West Bridgewater snapping shots and doing goofy things. Register your car load of friends and family at the Main Desk of the WBPL and pay $20 for your group.

thoreauinnatureThoreau Bicentennial Concert August 12 @ 4 – 5 p.m.
